Projects under construction and recently completed include: libraries, museums, performing arts centers, cultural centers, campus master plans, residential and mixed-use developments in such diverse places as Singapore, China, India, Bangladesh, Jerusalem, Toronto, Washington DC, Philadelphia, Missouri and Arkansas. Safdie Architects is seeking an experienced Project Architect, with at least 8 – 10 years experience, to be based in Shanghai, China. The Project Architect works directly with Moshe Safdie and the firm’s Principals to ensure that the design intent established in the early phases of the project remains through to completion. They will serve as one of the firm’s main liaisons to the client and the site team where they will function as an advocate for the design. The Project Architect will be responsible for overseeing the work of the local design institute； have demonstrated experience overseeing a project through construction in China； and a strong knowledge of the design and detailing of complex projects. In addition to an aptitude for design and superior problem-solving, candidates must be highly motivated and have the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
