Marketing Coordinator 市场推广 – Beijing

A marketing coordinator is the key producer of materials that support Gensler’s direct business development efforts. They work under the direction of senior office staff and a regional marketing leader to write, design and produce proposals, presentations and other material used to help the firm win work and also support the general activities of the office/regional marketing studio such as awards, PR, information management, etc.
The Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for:
· Working with senior staff to produce proposals, presentations; research, design, write and produce marketing materials.
· Co-lead strategy/kickoff meetings with regional marketing leader and BD champions
· Concept/write/design new material as needed to support marketing programs
· Conduct internal and external research on new opportunities, prospective clients and practice areas.
· Create pitch strategy/budget with BD champion including research, network mapping, tasks/milestones, reviews
· Research targets, internal relationships, company history, market position; ensure client or 3rd party Q&A and site visits
· Develop new materials as needed to support business development activities
· Other responsibilities as assigned.
The ideal candidate must meet the following qualifications to be considered:
· 5-8 years professional experience in a marketing position, preferably for a design or professional services firm
· Fluent in Mandarin and English (both speaking and writing/reading)
· Experience managing significant marketing projects independently, working closely with senior staff on business development opportunities, and managing small employee teams
· Excellent communication, writing, conceptual design skills
· High level of competency in Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office programs
· Graphic design ability and highly competent with key software: Adobe Creative Suite or comparable, Microsoft Office; experience with video and/or digital media/software a plus

Project Architect 项目建筑师 - Shanghai
Manages, organizes and coordinates project teams and team assignments to complete architectural projects, responsible for ensuring that production of construction documents are in concert with design intent, responsible for project schedules and budgets. Resolves complex technical/design issues and provides guidance to team. Coordinates activity and communication between project team and other disciplines. Primary project types should include: commercial, mixed-use / retail and higher education. Full knowledge of architectural principles / practices.
The Project Architect will be responsible for:
· Organizing and managing project teams and team assignments
· Coordination with LDI and client during all phases to ensure production of contract documents are aligned with design intent
· Full coordination between teams and projects
· Managing project timelines and schedules
· Resolution of complex technical and design issues as they arise
The ideal candidate must meet the following qualifications to be considered:
· At least 12-15 years professional experience.
· Licensed Architect registered either by Chinese or overseas government will be an advantage.
· Knowledge of Chinese building codes, standards and structures
· Excellent communication skills in both Chinese and English, and the ability to work well with a team
· Computer skills should include AutoCad, Illustrator, Photoshop, SketchUp. 3DMax and Revit is a plus.
· Strong leadership abilities and the ability to manage teams and projects
· Strong organizational skills

Project Manager 项目经理 - Shanghai & Beijing
The Project Manager will be responsible for:
· Implementing one or more workplace projects through the management of project teams.
· Negotiating fees and contracts for projects, managing, scheduling, budgeting and staffing, project set-up with sub-consultants, vendors and contractors.
· Reviewing project for conformance to contract.
· Tracking financial performance of project.
The ideal candidate must meet the following qualifications to be considered:
12+ years of successful project experience.
· Hold a degree in architecture design.
· Good leadership capability and can work as a team.
· Strong client communication skills in both Mandarin & English.
· Strong abilities in managing fees, schedules and staffing.

Interior Project Manager 室内项目经理 - (Shanghai & Beijing)
The Interior Project Manager will be responsible for:
· Implementing one or more workplace projects through the management of project teams.

Senior Designer 资深设计师 - Shanghai & Beijing
The Senior Designer will work in the architecture studio on large, high end and custom design projects, providing design leadership by giving clients an excellent service both on design and delivery, continually provide design solutions, improving design quality, represent Gensler architecture design to clients and the design community, mentoring designers in their careers and working profitably for the firm.

The Senior Designer will be responsible for:
· Interaction with clients, meetings and presentations.
· Develop Programming, consulting, strategic planning, conceptual designs, space planning, presentations, design development, and production.
· Leading and monitoring architectural design team.
· Develop and be responsible for projects budgets.
· Coordinate with technical team.
· Participate in business development effort.
The ideal candidate must meet the following qualifications to be considered:
· 15+ years professional experience including proven track record of leading the design of large-scale projects such as, corporate headquarters, campus planning or mixed-use projects.
· BArch/MArch or foreign equivalent, Architectural licensed
· Must understand trends in large, shell / core architectural design
· Possess a high level of visual and verbal communication skills and a high level of freehand and rendering skills.
· Have the ability to mentor team members, offer guidance and leadership.
· Be capable of using 2D/3D software, including AutoCAD, 3D Studio MAX, Sketchup, PhotoShop, InDesign and Illustrator , and PowerPoint .
· REVIT is a plus.

Marketing Manager 市场经理 – Shanghai

In partnership with office leaders, manage the marketing and communications activities of the Shanghai & Beijing offices. The Marketing Manager ensures that marketing and communications efforts are prioritized and implemented according to the strategic plans and budget of the office, as well as to the marketing policies and brand of the firm. The Marketing Manager oversees the quality of all marketing and communications activities in China.

The Marketing Manager will be responsible for:

Lead regional marketing & business development strategy
· Manage lead generation via CRM/opportunity tracking system
· Structure & lead learning programs around marketing/BD
· Develop and track success metrics against strategies for constant improvement
· Create yearly tactics for marketing programs and activities based on China strategic plan

Develop best-in-class teams of marketing professionals
· Primary accountability for recruiting, hiring, growing marketing professional staff in China
· Develop staff and growing strategic contribution of marketers
· Ensure that China staff have proper training in marketing discipline as well as tools
· Conduct learning programs for all staff on client issues, practice area marketing, networking, etc.
· Ensure that local marketing teams are informed of FW initiatives, resources and standards.

Manage business development, marketing and communications activities
· Manages daily workload/staffing for Shanghai marketing team.
· Quality control for proposals, general collateral, presentations, boilerplate text
· Process: Work with RML to implement new marketing processes as they are developed
· Oversee special projects (like brochures, practice area standard presentations)
· Set up workplans, make sure office projects are prioritized, moving forward, review quality
· Monitor boilerplate and materials: make sure that it is updated and content is quality and meets brand standard. Keep RML regularly informed of materials that need attention
· As needed, serve as creative/content producer for specific initiatives
· Lead marketing budget tracking: monitor, analyze, report/partner with managers on course correction
· Weekly BD meeting/reporting with senior staff

Oversee public relations & communications programs
· Oversee PR & communications program and/or staff managing these programs: media, events (social & knowledge), community relations: sponsorships, committees
· Lead internal communications as relevant

Participate in proposals, as needed
· Lead the proposal management, making sure that meetings happen, deadlines are met, and product is delivered on time.
· Ensure kickoff meeting with BD champion; manage strategy session with team
· Create work plan for pitch, including research, network mapping, tasks/milestones, reviews.
· Research client, Gensler’s internal relationships, issues and trends with their business. Discuss with proposal director. [This is a shared task. The BDer will typically focus on relationship building and finding coaches to inform us about the project, while the marketing manager focuses on the data aspects.]
· Proposal writing is a shared function between the proposal director and the marketer. Marketer should be able to write pieces about Gensler, such as quality program, history, market presence, etc. Marketer should also be able to edit strategic pieces. Marketing should be able to take ideas on any given piece (other than scope), and translate it into a well-written, persuasive communication. The Director should draft the Approach. Scope should always be written by a PM or PIC.
· Design the proposal in conjunction with brand standards. Responsible for proposal’s adherence to brand standard. Marketing manager should develop graphic skills constantly, as there are areas with only minimal brand standards, such as presentations, org charts, and process charts.
· Know firm portfolio in detail, understand practice area and other service capabilities of firm. Seek out firm’s best practices for use in proposal.
· Reviews pitch strategy throughout process with proposal director. Question whether proposal matches the strategy set-out at the beginning of the proposal.
· Quality – Responsible for grammar, typo editing, voice and tone of document. Manage proposal to allow enough time for this review. Contact RML if you need outside quality reviewer. [This is a shared function with the Business Developer who should also read the document for content accuracy and point of view.]
· Manage project close out – save information that will be valuable for future proposals to marketing drive.
· Internal debriefs after large, important projects, where something new was attempted, or where problems arose

Firmwide Liaison
· Work with other offices to provide/request resources as needed
· Point person for Firmwide-related projects (permissions, publications, etc)
· Maintains resources & information systems: ordering materials, support award submissions
· Maintain brand standards. Train office on appropriate use of brand standards.

The ideal candidate must meet the following qualifications to be considered:
· 8-10 years experience, primarily as a marketer in a professional services environment
· Experience managing significant marketing projects independently, working closely with senior staff on marketing programs, and managing small employee teams
· Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, or other liberal arts
· Excellent command of English and Chinese
· Writing Skill: Ability to take disparate information and craft compelling prose from scratch, as well as edit information from multiple sources for voice and tone. Proven ability to write persuasive written communications. (samples required)
· Graphic Design: Strong conceptual design ability. Able to design and execute exceptional information design in print. Experience with multimedia (such as Flash, video) preferred. Two years experience as a Graphic Designer preferred.
· Strategic Thinking: Ability to synthesize a wide variety of information about Gensler and our clients and craft into persuasive positioning statements. Proven ability to differentiate a business as shown in a former marketing or PR campaign that candidate led.
· Project Management: Strong ability to motivate, mobilize and lead a team to accomplish a goal while creating a positive work environment.
· Relationships within the marketing community which will help strengthen consultant and client relationships
· Competency in Adobe Creative Suite, including intermediate knowledge of InDesign and Photoshop. Or excellent learning abilities.

Senior Graphic Designer 资深平面设计师 – Shanghai
Gensler’s Shanghai office is looking for a Senior Graphic Designer with a strong knowledge base of wayfinding, navigation and environmental graphic design.
The Senior Graphic Designer Director must be capable of interfacing with other practices (Architecture, Masterplanning, Retail, Hospitality, Workplace, etc).
This individual will be required to work both alone and in collaborative teams on a variety of project types. Projects are often multi-faceted and require work across a range of project and client types.
The Senior Graphic Designer Director will be responsible for:
· Developing wayfinding programs for complex architectural and master planning projects;
· Creating the navigation rational, project approach and design concept;
· Integrating the planning and concept with brand design, architecture, environmental graphics programs and consumer experience projects;
· Driving wayfinding and environmental projects from planning/positioning phases and providing direction on conceptual design, design development and technical production;
· Presenting concepts and rational to senior client teams;
· Leading design teams.
The ideal candidate must meet the following qualifications to be considered:
· 10+ years of experience and with a bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design with experience in consumer experience and signage and wayfinding projects.
· This position offers an opportunity to build business through new project types and growing client relationships. Excellent communication and presentation skills with strong client relationships are required.
· Knowledge of reading architectural plans, sections, elevations, details and fluency in Adobe Creative Suite is required. Experience with Flash and CAD tools is a plus, but not essential.
· Bi-lingual (spoken and/or written) Mandarin and English a key advantage.
